I am glad that you are getting along well with your host family.
My neighbour is German-Canadian, and they took a Japanese student as homestay guest.
The first meal, my German friend made a salad, Polish Sausages and Baked Potatoes. The Japanese student sat down with them, ate the food, and then immediately rushed to the toilet and vomited.
My friend got very insulted and she thought that the Japanese student is very rude.
I donot think that the Japanese student intended to insult her host. I honestly believed that she tried to eat the foreign food but her stomach is not used to the food.
I came to Canada as a student and lived in the school dorm. I love the residence food but I had /hearburn stomach ache for six months continuosly because I was not used to Western food.
Any comments?
